Bible Study at Emmanuel

Thursday mornings at 9am at the Rectory we gather for Bible Study, reviewing the up-coming scripture appointed for the Sunday of the week. These can be lively, intriguing sessions recovering stories, history, wisdom and perspective for those who gather. We heartily welcome one and all.

This week we are adding a new dimension to the study—prayer. Yes, we customarily open and end the Bible Study with prayer, but in the future, we will focus more on prayer for this hour than we have in the past. In many respects, prayer continues to be a mystery for many of us; what to pray, how to pray, what words, images, themes guide us. In this time of COVID, in this time of not-knowing, in this time of considerable anxiety and stress for so many, we will give ourselves to prayer that God continue to lead and inspire us with God’s never-failing love.

Service leaflets will be distributed at Bible Study, complete with the readings.
